Yellow Biomedical Waste Bags Manufacturer in India

PCB ApprovedISO 9001:2015 Certified

Yellow biomedical bags handle the highest risk waste stream going for incineration or deep burial. BMWM 2016 requirements are specific about material, colour, printing and gauge. Non-compliance is directly visible to CPCB inspectors.

Colour compounded in. Compliance built in.

Yellow LDPE is compounded into the material during extrusion, not surface applied. Colour depth meets BMWM specification through the film thickness. Every batch is checked before biohazard printing and dispatch.

What Yellow Biomedical Bags Are For

Yellow bags under BMWM 2016 are designated for the highest risk waste categories: those requiring incineration or deep burial rather than autoclaving or municipal disposal. Human anatomical waste from surgical procedures, animal anatomical waste from veterinary procedures, soiled dressings and bandages contaminated with blood from clinical care, laboratory cultures and stocks from pathology and microbiology work, and discarded expired medicines all belong in yellow bags. Sharps go in puncture-proof containers, not yellow bags. Hospitals generate yellow category waste in OTs, wards, blood banks, microbiology labs and pharmacies. Pathology labs generate yellow category waste continuously. Blood banks have both yellow category waste from expired product and red category waste from collection equipment. Anyone in healthcare who handles human tissue, blood or cultures generates yellow category waste.

BMWM 2016 Requirements for Yellow Bags

Non-chlorinated plastic for yellow bags is not optional. The reason is incineration: yellow waste is burned, and chlorinated plastic releases hydrogen chloride and dioxin compounds during combustion. These are toxic emissions that defeat the purpose of safe biomedical waste disposal. BMWM 2016 specifically prohibits chlorinated plastic bags for biomedical waste. Yellow bags must carry the biohazard symbol as specified in the rules. The generating facility's name and address must appear on the bag: CPCB inspectors check this during audits. Gauge must be appropriate for the weight of yellow category waste being collected. A bag that tears before reaching the collection point is a BMWM violation as well as an infection risk. During CPCB facility inspections, inspectors physically examine bags in use and check that the manufacturer's documentation confirms non-chlorinated material and correct colour and print specifications.

Why Ushakiran Ecoplast for Yellow Biomedical Bags

Non-chlorinated LDPE is confirmed in our material certificates for every production batch. Yellow bags are produced from colour-compounded LDPE where the colour is incorporated into the material during the extrusion process rather than applied as a surface coating. This means the colour is consistent through the film thickness and does not fade during handling, transport or storage. Biohazard printing and facility name printing are standard on our yellow bags as required by BMWM 2016. PCB approval documents our environmental compliance as a manufacturer. ISO certification documents our quality management processes. We manufacture yellow bags alongside the other three BMWM colour categories so hospital procurement teams can source all categories from one supplier and maintain one compliance documentation set.
